Award Recognition Tips

Congratulations!

You've been recognised as a leader in East Coast Tasmania tourism and that's something worth celebrating and sharing!

Winning an ECTT Industry Recognition Award is more than a moment of pride. It's a signal to your visitors, your peers, and your community that what you're doing matters. It's also a genuine opportunity to grow your profile, inspire your team, and contribute to the story of a region we're all helping shape together.

To help you hit the ground running, ECTT will provide you with a digital award logo and certificate to use across your channels. Here's how to make the most of them.

Update Your Online Presence

  • ATDW Profile: Add your award recognition to your Australian Tourism Data Warehouse (ATDW) profile so your success is visible across every platform that draws from it.

  • Website: Create a news post or banner to celebrate your win. Use your ECTT digital assets, include the award logo, and link back to the ECTT Industry Recognition Awards page.

  • Social Media: Share the news on your business channels. Tag @eastcoasttasmania and use #eastcoasttasmania, #EastCoastShines and #ECTTRecognitionAwards. We actively reshare award winner content across our channels, so the more you tag us, the further your story travels.

  • Google Business Profile: Update your Google Business Profile to mention your award. It's one of the most effective ways to build trust with visitors who are discovering you for the first time.

Share the News in Everyday Communication

  • Email Signature: Add "Proud recipient of the ECTT Industry Recognition Award — [Category], 2026" to your email signature. It's a small addition that builds credibility with every send.

  • Newsletters: Announce your award in your next customer or stakeholder update. Tell the story behind it, such as what recognition means to you, your team, and the people who visit you.

  • Media Release: Consider a short press release for your local newspaper or community newsletter. Regional media loves a local success story, and this is one worth telling.

Celebrate with the Community

  • East Coast Shines: Share your win in our operator Facebook group. Your peers are cheering for you — let them celebrate with you!

  • Networking Events: Mention your award industry gatherings. This recognition positions you as someone others can learn from.

  • Your Team: Take a moment to acknowledge the people who made it possible: staff, volunteers, and partners. Awards reflect collective effort, and your team deserves to hear it.

Use the Award in Your Marketing

  • Print and Collateral: Add the award logo to your brochures, signage, or tour materials. It's a trusted signal of quality for visitors who haven't experienced you yet.

  • Booking Platforms: Update your listings on platforms like TripAdvisor and Booking.com to include your award recognition.

  • Guest Conversations: Weave your award into how you talk about your experience with visitors. It reinforces the standard they can expect and the care you put into every interaction.

Keep Building Your Story

Recognition is a starting point, not a full stop. Think about how this moment can open new doors:

  • Share what's behind the award. It could be your journey in sustainability, accessibility, innovation, or guest care in your own words and on your own channels.

  • Offer to speak at an industry event or panel. Your story can inspire other operators across the region.

Not sure what to say? Here are a few ideas to get you started:

Social post: "We're thrilled to be recognised with the ECTT Industry Recognition Award for [Category]! This recognition means so much to our team and the guests we get to welcome to the East Coast every day. Thank you to @eastcoasttasmania and to everyone who makes what we do possible. #EastCoastShines #eastcoasttasmania"

Email signature addition: "Proud recipient of the ECTT Industry Recognition Award — [Category], 2026."

Newsletter opening line: "We have some exciting news to share — [Business Name] has been recognised with an ECTT Industry Recognition Award for [Category], and we couldn't be more proud of the team that made it happen."

Every award winner helps lift the reputation of the East Coast as a whole. When you share your success, you're not just promoting your business, you're contributing to a region that travellers choose, return to, and talk about.

So be proud. Tell your story. And know that we're right behind you.
